The reason why I like Top Gear...
Ok, was just watching the new episode of TG and made me think about life a bit more.
Well, let me explain.
TG is basically a motoring show where car lovers gather and watch 3 blokes cocking about and driving really fast cars. Now, there is a segment of this show where they race from one place to another, one will do it in a car, the others will go by the most common means necessary. For example, they had to get from London to Oslo, which is quite far by ferry and very, very far by car and see who can get there the fastest.
Now in this new episode, they had to go from Northern Canada to the magnetic North Pole. One will be racing by a car, obviously, and the other will be racing by a sled being pulled by a team of ten Canadian Inuit Dogs. Now, it may look like a full-on conclusion to you, but during their race, they had to suffer from the blistering cold weather, go over huge bolders and ice and overcome physical as well as mental breakdown. Bear in mind, help is a couple of hours away when your lives can be extinguished in a matter of minutes out here, and you have to look at miles and miles of barren land with no one in it. It lets you feel that you are better off sitting there watching the telly like you don't even bother. But, you can feel their adventurous spirit and will to get to the finish line. Of course there will be a bit of mucking about, but the essence of that spirit has not been lost.

Love the cars, love the cocking about, love the presenters. They are just grown up kids whom never want to grow up. But when the time is right, the conditions are tough, they become mature and manly...

Resignation

Well, not me, but one of my collegues. Working for a couple of months and now going to pursue a better job. Well, I have to say a huge Thank You for the past 3 months teaching me some of the things you will never learn if you do not work. Thank You for all the help you have given me. Thank You for all the patience you have given me for troubling you most of the time with questions. Good luck and may you be successful in the near future. Hope to see you again soon!!

How to distress at your workplace...
1) Go to the roof and shout all your troubles away
2) Take plates and dishes and smash them on the wall
3) Just go directly to your 'Higher-ups' and tell them what you feel (Not recommended)
4) Bring some beer or liquor to the workplace and drown yourself in alcohol
5) Take a hammer, get some disused harddisks, smash them to bits (which is what I did today)

God, that feels good. Exercise AND distress at the same time!! Now arms aching from the heavy smashing from the hammers. But feels refreshing... Try it!! You will be amazed.

Helping out...

Well, my work is going to end in 5 weeks, but still being assigned to help out in another project. Are they trying to get me to stay on and help out without pay?? Too f***ed up to comment about it. Anyway, speaking of pay, we have so far received only 1 month's worth of pay. The rest?? DELAYED!! Wtf?? We have been working for 11 long weeks and only 4 weeks paid?? Clearly shows the attitude on how AMD is doing their work. CEO is coming to town next week, so who knows what might happen??

Meanwhile, celebrated Jun Loong's birthday yesterday at Tao's. 7 course meal for $28++, not bad I say. Ordered pork ribs which are succulent and sweet. Nice!

Wanted to watch a movie after that, but was a bit late in the night, so most of us went home.

Final words: Work doesn't really pay well, so why work??

Transformers are a go...

Went to watch the $3 per pax Transformers, and I must say, it was better than I expected it to be. Ok, as a note, those Transformers fans out there ain't going to like this movie as this focuses more on the story rather than the robots themselves. However, if you are tired of this Summer's Trio-Sequaled-Movies, this is a good break from the monotiny of the huge established movies like Harry Potter, Spiderman or POTC.

Rating: 4/5 (Pretty Good, worth the money!)

Next Stop: Die Hard 4.0 or the Simpsons movie

Last note: OK, I know my blog's theme is getting on a bit now, so after my attachment at AMD ends, I will try to liven up this blog with a new theme. Sorry!
