Singapore films

I recently read this article on mrbrown.com "praising" the censorship board of Singapore for being, like everything in Singapore, very efficient. Maybe a bit too efficient.

Let me explain, in almost all the movies that I have watched so far in the cinema, there will be some parts that have either cut from the movies. Even M18 ones and NC16 ones. I mean, shouldn't there be less cut scenes since this is are rated films? They might as well made it 'G', so the whole family can enjoy the cut where Bruce Wills hits a baddie in the face(Well, they will censor it in the movies anyway).

Sometimes in life, more sounds good, principally because it sounds like progress. But, less isn't sometimes what you call, bad. Maybe it is just the people there get it the other way round, or have a different logic.

Then they say, proudly, that they are promoting 'Made in Singapore' films. However, due to the restrictions being made on movies and stuff, they are not able to fully show what they intend to show. This is one huge dilemma for Singapore film makers. I mean, I do generally quite support local works, but they lack the creativity and soul for the works. That is one of the reason why I would rather watch Scary Movie than I Not Stupid. It's because of the monotony and Cliché of typical bread and butter subjects that turn us off.

Anyway, enough lamenting, or else Captain Pod will come and beat the crap out of me. Meanwhile, enjoy this local product from Royston Tan.

One more thing I hate... Spam/Junk mail

I think it is a cruel joke to ask someone to send out messages that threaten to bring you bad luck or bad omen to someone else which will have to do the same thing again till someone who last receive the letter becomes 'cursed' with bad luck and have to start circulating again. Please let this be a public service, stop spam/junk mail!!!

Asked my teacher who is now studying in UK to help me get a DVD as well as some goodies for us. Feel a bit bad as I know the shipping fee will be a bit expensive and the DVD is not that cheap. Would like to take this opportunity to thank him for doing this. Thank you so much!!

Anyway, having a wet week this week. Delivered are an old PDA and a webcam that doesn't work for our MP. Still have more to work. Project and presentation. Sians...

Feel like driving...

I remember a time where I always wanted to go out for a drive. Wanted to feel the world moving backwards like in a space shuttle rocket spaceship thingy. Wanted to leave everything behind and just go somewhere else to relax. However, after taking driving lessons, I still have this feeling.
Yup, blasting down a narrow street and through B-road is a dream that I could only think of accomplishing when I am NOT in Singapore. Also, as the work piles up, Major Project gets under way, there is a need to really get away from it all.

By the way, I am writing this because I am tired, bored and not really being myself.
Don't know why, don't ask me...

ESCAPE!!!
