Humans

Human beings are a well developed species

They use energy only when necessary, for example, hunting for food and walking to find new places to explore.

They also conserve energy to keep one's energy level high, so when there is a need to use that energy, it is readily available. So, humans are naturally lazy, a good excuse for you being a bit 'less-than-active' at work.

Mostly, humans are capable of doing one specific thing that other species of the animal world cannot do, deception. They lie to each other, being untruthful, do things that hurt each other. Other species do indeed do that, but compared to humans, they are miles better.

Humans have emotions too, which is ironic really when they are busy killing each other. They love each other. They hate each other. They laugh with each other and cry with each other.

Most of all, they have a sense of belonging. They have a house to protect, they have a family, friends with will live together, and willing to sacrifice for them. However, if you take that sense of belonging away, you are left with an empty soul.


An empty soul. A dead soul is better than an empty soul.


That what I am right now.


I have no place I belong to, except for my family, which is another story. But, other than that, I realised that I was the same empty soul 6 years ago. I do not have a place I belong to. I never had.

I tried to search for that place to fill the emptiness in the heart, but when I found one, it was just another piece of drifting log full of people. "Sorry, you cannot board it 'cuz it's full." "Well, you can board it, but you will have to go off when the next log comes." It comes, and you see it goes, people on it are like god brothers and sisters, inseparable. Yes, they are your friends, but will they be your friend in ten years time? Twenty? Thirty?

Sometimes, I lie in bed thinking that the problem lies in me. Too individual, too addicted to cars, too hard to manage with. However, I realised that it is not my fault.


It is that humans have another trait. They have ambitions.


As a child, we all have one. We dreamed of becoming an astronaut or a policeman to catch the baddies. We all have a goal in which what we want to achieve in life.

Some people just want to have a simple life, others want Saturn, Neptune, Pluto and beyond. I have an ambition, and others have their own too. We seek means of achieving that goal, and mine is just so different than others. That's why people never understood me. That's why people don't like me. That's why, people never accepted me.

I travel towards my destination, and others travel to their destination. Our paths may cross, for a moment, but we might not end at the same destination.


That's why when people are meant to be together, they say they are destined. When people get over with being each other for too long, they say they go their separate paths.


Sooner or later, other people will go their separate paths. It's the way it is. It used to hurt me a lot. Now I just get used to it. If you understand this logic, maybe it will not hurt when people just go away.


I have not reached my destination, so I shall walk on.

April Fool dumbing down

Is it me or is it that April Fool have dumbed down a bit over the past couple of years.
Maybe I have matured and realised that April Fool is just some child's play.
Even the local newspapers have no April Fool jokes like those a few years ago, when I was a secondary school student.

What we lack is some laughter to bond people together
